أعلنت اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان من خلال مكتب مفوّضها في الشرق الأوسط الدكتور السفير هيثم ابو سعيد أن الغارات الأخيرة على الأحياء السكنية والتي أدت إلى سقوط ستة أشخاص منهم أربعة أطفال من أسرة واحدة ورجلين، كما وصل عدد الجرحى إلى واحد وسبعين شخصاً(71) منهم سبعة وعشرون (27) طفلا وسبعة عشرة (17) امرأة وسبعة وعشرون (27) رجلا.
وأضاف البيان أن الأسباب الذي ساقه التحالف العربي غير مقبول سيما وأن الأحداث اليمنية وصلت في الفترة إلى تفاهم كبير حصل برعاية الأمم المتحدة في السويد وأبدت جهات في الأوانة الأخيرة ليونة في الإستعداد للتطبيق خصوصا إنسحاب الحوثيين من محيط مرفأ الحديدة للسماح بإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية الملحّة.
وأشار مكتب اللجنة أن ما تم حصده حتى الأن من قتل للأبرياء في اليمن من أطفال ونساء يرقى إلى جرائم كبرى في الإنسانية تخطت العقل والمنطق والحصار المفروض غلى أبناء اليمن خطير وله تداعيات ايضا خطيرة ستبقى لأجيال حتى يتم معالجتها. واضاف ان معظم من سقط في أرض المعركة مما تم ذكره ضمنا على يد الغارات التي تنفذها الطائرات الحربية للتحالف العربي والجيش الأميركي.
وخم البيان أن ما قيل في بداية الأحداث في اليمن حول محاربة المجموعات التكفيرية لتنظيم القاعدة هو في غير مكانه وما يتم على أرض الواقع هو تكريس للقادة ومفاهيمها من قبل من إدعى قتالهم.
The International Human Rights Committee, through the Office of its Commissioner in the Middle East, Dr. Haitham Abu Said, announced that the recent raids on residential neighborhoods, which resulted in the deaths of six people, including four children from one family and two men, Twenty-two (27) children, seventeen (17) women and twenty-seven (27) men.
The statement added that the reasons given by the Arab alliance are unacceptable, especially since the events in Yemen reached a great understanding reached under the auspices of the United Nations in Sweden. The latter has shown flexibility in preparing for the implementation, especially the withdrawal of the Huthis from the vicinity of the port of Hodeidah to allow urgent humanitarian assistance.
The Office of the Committee pointed out that what has been achieved so far from the killing of innocent people in Yemen, children and women amounts to major crimes in humanity went beyond the mind and logic and the siege imposed on the people of Yemen is dangerous and has serious repercussions will remain for generations to be addressed. He added that most of the fallen in the battlefield, which was implicitly implied by the raids carried out by the warplanes of the Arab alliance and the US military.
The statement said that what was said at the beginning of the events in Yemen about fighting the Takfiri groups of al-Qaeda is misplaced and what is happening on the ground is the dedication of the leaders and their concepts by those who claimed their fight.
