تلقّى مفوّض اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان في الشرق الأوسط السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد رسالة رسمية من رئيس المجلس الايزيدي الاعلى المستقل الامير نايف بن داود حول أحوال الاقليات العراقية في ظل سياسة حكومة الاقليم طالبه فيها التدخّل من أجل وقف أعمال العنف وإعادة حقوقهم باسرع وقت ممكن.
وأشارت الرسالة إلى نقاط متعدد أهمها:
1- الحماية الدولية ، الحكم الذاتي لليزيديين والمسيحيين ، أو الهجرة الطارئة كلاجئين
2-دعم إعادة إعمار أراضي اليزيدي ، مع الاعتراف الدولي كأرض الأجداد الأصليين ، وإعادة بناء المنازل والمدارس والمستشفيات والشركات .
3- الدعوة لعودة أوطان الأسلاف الأصليين لحيازة اليزيدي والسيطرة عليها ، والتي انفصل عنها العرب والأكراد
4- لوازم الحياة المعيشية ، لاستعادة ما أخذ منها
5-وضع برنامج تنمية أوروبية ودعم للطلاب والشباب اليزيديين في المجالات الأكاديمية والعلمية
6- التركيز الشديد على إطلاق سراح المختطفين اليزيديين الذين لا يزال عددهم أكثر من 3000 شخص ، والذين ما زالوا سجناء عند الإرهابيين. البحث عن الـ3000 امرأة اليزيدية المتبقية في الأسر ، حيث أسر المقاتلين الإرهابيين غالباً ما تخفي أفرادها لمواصلة استخدامهم كعبيد أو ماشية، والساعدة في لم شملهم مع أفراد أسرهم الذين ما زالوا محاصرين في العراق وسوريا.
7-تشكيل لجنة تحقيق دولية لجمع الحقائق حول ما حدث لليزيديين وبدء الإجراءات القانونية ومعاقبة جميع الذين تسببوا في الإبادة الجماعية ضدهم، ومشاركتهم فيها ومثولهم أمام المحكمة الجنائية الدولية.
8-الاعتراف بالإبادة الجماعية ضد الشعب الإيزيدي ، وحماية المقابر الجماعية لليزيديين لتسهيل التحقيقات الجنائية في جرائم الإبادة الجماعية في المستقبل.
بدوره أكّد السفير أبو سعيد على الدور الفاعل للمؤسسات المحلية والتي تساعد في الأعمال الإنسانية التي تقوم بهم المنظمات الدولية مؤكّداً أنه أبرق إلى كل من أمين عام الأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيرس والمفوّض السامي لمجلس حقوق الإنسان السيدة ميشال باشوليه، وأدان بشدّة على المجازر البشعة التي إرتكبها العدوان الأميركي والمجموعات التكفيرية في الباغوز حيث ذهب مئات القتلى وتشريد أكثر من ستون ألفاً( 60) معظمهم مدنيون فروا من آخر جيب لتنظيم داعش في شرق سوريا منذ بدأ الهجوم النهائي للسيطرة
The Commissioner of the International Committee for Human Rights in the Middle East, Ambassador Haitham Abu Said, received an official letter from the President of the Supreme Yazidi Council Prince Nayef bin Daoud on the conditions of Iraqi minorities under the policy of the regional government.The letter pointed out many points mostly as:
1. International protection, autonomy for Yazidis and Christians, or Emergency Immigration as Refugees.
2. Reconstruction support for Yazidi Lands, with international recognition as our Indigenous Ancestral Lands, rebuilding of Yazidi homes, schools, hospitals and businesses, and furnishings.
3. Advocacy for Return of our indigenous ancestral homelands to Yazidi possession and control, which was ripped from them by the Arabs and Kurds. 4. Supplies of living necessities, to restore what was taken from them.
5. Establish a European development program and support for Yazidi students and young people in the academic and scientific spheres.
6. Serious focus on the release of the still 3,000+ Yazidi abductees who are still prisoners of terrorists. Search for the remaining 3,000 Yazidi women still in captivity, as the families of the terrorist fighters often hide their people to continue using them as slaves or livestock. Help to reunite them with their family members still trapped in Iraq and Syria.
7. Formation of an international commission of inquiry to gather facts about what happened to the Yazidis and initiate legal proceedings and punish and hold all who caused and participated in the genocide against Yazidis and bring before the International Criminal Court.
8. Recognition of the Genocide against the Yazidi people, and protection of the Yazidi mass graves to facilitate future criminal investigations into the crimes of Genocide.
In his turn, Ambassador Abu Said stressed the active role of local institutions, which help the humanitarian work carried out by international organizations, stressing that he was close to UN Secretary-General Antony Guterres and the High Commissioner of the Human Rights Council, Michel Bachelet.
