IHRC / Amb. At Large - Special Representative Envoy to the UNOG Dr. Haissam BOU-SAID participated at the UN HRC Presidential organizational sessions with the International Organizations where he revealed the subject of the letter sent by the world chairman of IHRC Amb. Mohamed Khan to the HRC President Amb. Nazhat Shameem Khan acknowledges receipt.
Amb. Bou-Said added that due to COVID 19, We have lost millions of lives, businesses is closed, lockdowns spread anxiety and causing public mental health at a dangerous level, students are out of educational institutions, people lost their jobs and mean to feed their families, poverty increased, developments stopped and still majority of the countries are having no vaccine. We must investigate that, to know legally who is responsible of this pandemic if this virus is human-made.
We can’t be silent on this disaster which thrown the whole of humanity in front of death and still a new DELTA is on the road.We come before your Excellency to propose that HRC could appoint the renewed experts as the Investigations Commissioners with the vast powers of investigation in the question raised above, He added at the end the assurance of IHRC and other officials availability to assist such commission established by the HRC in order to bring justice to the victims of this Pandemic.
On the other hand, Amb. Nazhat thanked IHRC for the content of the letter as well the verbal discussion made by Dr. BOU-SAID with the assurance of taking this matter into a high concern
شارك سفير الشرق الأوسط للجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان والمبعوث الخاص للمجلس الدولي إلى مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف الدكتور هيثم أبو سعيد في الجلسات التنظيمية لرئاسة مجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة مع المنظمات الدولية حيث كشف عن موضوع الرسالة التي بعث بها الرئيس العالمي للجنة محمد خان لرئيسة مجلس حقوق الإنسان السفيرة نزهات شميم خان التي أكدت الاستلام.
وأضاف السفير أبو سعيد أنه بسبب كوفيد 19 فقدنا الملايين من الأرواح ، وأغلقت الأعمال ، وأدى الإغلاق إلى انتشار القلق والتسبب في صحة نفسية عامة على مستوى خطير ، وخرج الطلاب من المؤسسات التعليمية ، وفقد الناس وظائفهم ويعنيون إطعام الأسر ، وازداد الفقر ، وتوقفت التطورات وما زالت غالبية البلدان لا تملك لقاحًا.يجب علينا التحقيق في ذلك ، لمعرفة المسؤول قانونًا عن هذا الوباء إذا كان هذا الفيروس من صنع الإنسان.
لا يمكننا أن نلتزم الصمت حيال هذه الكارثة التي ألقت بالبشرية جمعاء أمام الموت ولا تزال دلتا جديدة على الطريق.نأتي أمام سعادتكم لنقترح على مجلس حقوق الإنسان أن يعين الخبراء المجددون كمفوضي تحقيق يتمتعون بصلاحيات واسعة للتحقيق في السؤال المطروح أعلاه ،وأضاف في النهاية تأكيد اللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان والمسؤولين الآخرين على استعداد لمساعدة هذه اللجنة التي أنشأها مجلس حقوق الإنسان من أجل تحقيق العدالة لضحايا هذا الوباء.
من ناحية أخرى ، شكرت السفيرة نزهات على محتوى الرسالة وكذلك المناقشة الشفوية التي أجراها الدكتوأر بو سعيد مع التأكيد على أخذ هذا الأمر في موضع اهتمام كبير
