Ambassador Dr. Haitham Abu Said: The step of the Lebanese Foreign Minister a successful start in the fight against financial waste

Ambassador Haytham Abu Said stressed that the step referred to by the Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil to sign a proposal to reveal the movement of the account aimed at amending the powers of the Special Investigation Commission is a sound step that shows the reality of the parliamentary bloc headed by Minister Bassil, wishing the rest of the parliamentary blocs to proceed. Ambassador Abu Said pointed out that President Michel Aoun is serious in forming a government that takes into consideration the rightful demands of the people that took to the streets and demanded reforms. Ambassador Abu Said also affirmed that the International Committee is seriously endeavoring to put an end to the law to uncover all the circumstances of the financial situation and the transfers.

أكد السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد أن الخطوة التي أشار إليها وزير خارجية لبنان جبران باسيل لجهة توقيع على اقتراح قانون لكشف حركة الحسابات يرمي لتعديل صلاحيات هيئة التحقيق الخاصة هي خطوة سليمة تُظهر حقيقة مسلك الكتلة النيابية التي يترأسها الوزير باسيل، متمنياً على باقي الكتل النيابية المضي فيها لما فيها من إيجابيات لإظهار الأموال التي نُقلت إلى الخارج. 

وأشار السفير ابو سعيد أن الرئيس العماد ميشال عون جاد في تشكيل حكومة تأخذ بعين الاعتبار مطالب الناس المحقة التي نزلت إلى الشارع وطالبت بإصلاحات. كما أكد السفير ابو سعيد قيام مساعي جدية من قبل اللجنة الدولية لوضع حد وبالقانون لكشف كل الملابسات الحاصلة في الشق المالي والتحويلات.
